Job Description

Job Dimensions

The Papua LNG Project is a key project for TotalEnergies as it is its first major petroleum investment in Papua New Guinea. Papua LNG project is a combine onshore and offshore project development comprising:

· Well pads and the upstream gathering network including flowlines and two parallel multiphase trunklines

· Upstream Central Processing Facility (CPF), approximately 30 km from the field

· Main onshore and offshore export system consisting of a single-phase gas pipeline and a condensate pipeline

· Integration in existing liquefaction plant located 325 km from the CPF in the vicinity of Port-Moresby

Production Data: 875 MMSCFD of exported gas + 16,500 BPD of condensates

Missions

He / She will have:

· To adopt and to demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regards to Company "Code Of Conduct" and H3SE rules and regulation. To implement H3SE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.

· To ensure confidentiality of all the documentation issued under his area of responsibility (whatever its support).

· To be kept informed of Company Referential (CR’s/GS’s in particular), International quality norms and standards, and Statutory regulations.

· To establish and maintain metrics, Project Quality indicators (KPIs) and the Project Quality dashboard and objectives of Project team and Contractors. To maintain, display, promote and communicate on Project Quality KPIs.

· To ensure during execution phase that Contractor’s Equipment are properly certified and monitor and implement recording with a traceable documentation.

· To follow-up the reported Project nonconformities, derogations, correctives actions. To possibly involve in the root cause analysis. To chase-up when necessary, the closure process of actions. To highlight and report the work key deficiencies to management.

· To ensure all along project REXs / Lessons Learnt are well captured and reported to Quality Engineer.

TASKS: Not limited to –

· The QA/QC GEO is responsible for ensuring the traceability of all operations conducted in the frame of site preparation – Roads, bridges, CPF, and Well pads, before, during, and at the end of the site preparation. It covers the surveys (geo, topo, ….), the site preparation methodology and execution, the control during the site preparation, and at the end of the site preparation.

· Conducting site controls and inspection to ensure that the geo, topo, and other investigations are implemented in conformity to PNG LNG Specifications, PNG Standards including AS/NZS and TE General Specifications.

· Conducting site controls and inspections to ensure that the earthworks are implemented in conformity to Papua LNG specifications, TE General Specifications and according to the execution design studies and drawings:

o Aggregates Quarries and borrow points: quality control of aggregates,

o Slope and Embankments: quality of fill and aggregates,

o Roads: quality of aggregates put in place,

o Drainage: conformity to the design,

o Excavation and filling for foundation installation; conformity to the design and constructability as per the specifications.

· Conducting site controls and inspections to ensure that the soil/fill disposal and landfill areas comply with the Papua LNG project and the design execution studies and drawings.

· Inspecting the positioning and the alignment works.

· Inspecting the implementation of the ground improvement methodology: adequacy of material – cement, aggregate, lime, the spacing between improvement points, and the control tests during and at the end of operations.

· Conducting control and inspection of filling operations: conformity of materials, thickness of the fill layers, fill compacting, rainwater handling, …

· Conducting control and inspection of the final ground level quality.

· Inspecting the execution of Field trials and ensuring that they are carried out in accordance with the procedures in force. The field trials are done in pits and/or on surface. They include (among others) trail for soils treatment, settlement, preloading, loading, etc …

· Conducting control and inspection of site laboratory activities and ensuring that the laboratory tests are carried out in accordance with the procedures in force. The laboratory tests cover aggregates, soils, rocks, concrete, and water.

· Conducting control of tests conducted on concrete and ensuring that they comply with specifications and standards in force.

· Ensuring that the control tests conducted during the site preparation that could include (and not limited to) settlements, loading, preloading tests, groundwater level change, liquefaction, lateral displacement are completed according to the plan.

· Ensuring that the control tests conducted during the site preparation that could include sounding -CPT, SPT, etc ...- are completed according to Papua LNG Specifications.

· Further tasks can be requested by the PAPUA LNG Project.

Requirement

• Diploma/ Degree holder in Civil/ Construction Engineering
• At least 9 years’ experience in relevant fields (PNG LNG| Oil & Gas industry)
• Prior experience in the QA, QC fields in O&G industry is crucial
• Sound knowledge on "Code of Conduct" and H3SE rules and regulation
• Expertise on the site preparation methodology and execution, the control during the site preparation, and at the end of the site preparation
• Expertise in conducting site controls and inspections to ensure that the soil/fill disposal and landfill areas comply with the LNG project and the design execution studies and drawings
• Good in establishing rapport with all levels of people
• Excellent communication skill in English and another 2nd language
• Risk analysis skill
• Possess good attitude, Proactive
• Project Management skill will be advantageous
• Able to work in fast-paced environment and meet tight schedules independently.
