Senior Construction Engineer (Mechanical)

Job Description

Responsibilities

· Responsible for the HSES and quality aspects of the work within assigned areas and for ensuring contractors complete their work in accordance with the project working program.

· Ensure that all construction contractors’ supervision and manpower are instructed and comply with all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policy, site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and Client requirements

· Conduct routine checks and inspections of works on site to ensure compliance with authorities' and client’s requirements.

· Ensure Plant is constructed to the drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and good construction practices and schedule and maintain records for final documentation.

· Monitor progress with schedules and provide updates

· Comply with the company's construction methods, procedures and practices in all respects, particularly those relating to quality assurance, safety, personnel, and industrial relations; where these are found to be inadequate immediately report the deficiencies and suggest solutions.

· Check the daily PTW system and make sure all activities shall be covered by PTW system

· Supervise multi-disciplinary construction project site team in accordance with requirements specified in the contract documents

· Work closely with construction and engineering management on coordination of inter / intra contract activities.

· Read the ITP (Inspection and test plan) of each activity and make sure construction quality is met for each activity.

· Installation of equipment and structure as per the plan.

· Supervise equipment installation and piping work performed by construction sub-contractor and ensure compliance with established the construction activities.

· Organizing for preparation of piping systems for testing based on the test pack limits specified in the approved test packs.

· Attend final walkthrough of completed piping systems and verify clearing of all punch list prior to mechanical completion

Requirements

· Degree / Diploma in Engineering

· 10 years’ experience in the process and/or utility/power construction industry.

· Experience in most areas, including field engineering, project control, quality control, administration of contracts and subcontracts, craft supervision, field superintendence, safety, labour relations, maintenance, turnarounds and outages, commissioning and other applicable positions and functions.

· Have knowledge and familiarity with the methods, practices, equipment, codes, documents, drawings, specifications, requirements, functions and control systems of the engineering and construction business.

· Good leadership skills to manage and develop a team

Working Days : 6 Days Per Week

Working Hours : 8.30am – 5.30pm (8 Hours Per Day Inclusive of One Hour Lunch Break)

Overtime : Yes

Employer CPF : Yes

Annual Leave : 10 Days

Medical Leave : 14 Days

Monthly Salary : SGD $7000 - $10000
