Job Description:
Role:
Our client’s Taiwan’s project is seeking an experienced Preservation Supervisor / Material Controller with expertise in the preservation of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation materials. The ideal candidate will manage the preservation activities and ensure the proper handling and storage of materials at the project site.
Responsibilities:
- Preservation Management: Oversee the preservation of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation materials to ensure they are maintained in optimal condition during storage and before installation. Develop and implement preservation procedures and schedules.
- Material Handling and Storage: Manage the receipt, inspection, storage, and handling of materials on-site. Ensure all materials are stored in compliance with project specifications and manufacturer recommendations to prevent damage or deterioration.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of all materials, including inventory levels, condition status, and preservation requirements. Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and material conditions.
- Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with procurement, logistics, construction, and quality teams to ensure the timely delivery and proper handling of materials. Communicate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues related to material preservation and handling.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of preserved materials and storage conditions to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards. Report any discrepancies or damages to the relevant departments and initiate corrective actions.
- Training and Supervision: Train and supervise preservation team members and material handlers in proper preservation techniques and material handling procedures. Ensure that all team members are following safety and quality protocols.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of preservation activities, including preservation logs, inspection reports, and material handling records. Prepare and submit regular reports on material conditions and preservation status to project management.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all preservation and material handling activities comply with client's safety standards and local regulations. Promote a culture of safety within the team and actively participate in safety meetings and initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant Engineering fields
- Minimum 10 years of Oil & Gas Industry experience
- Minimum 10 years in Preservation and maintenance of offshore energy processing plants experience
- Singaporeans with valid work eligibility in Taiwan and past work experience in Taiwan are welcome to apply
· Good knowledge of tools: Si.ge.ore, WPS, MDM
· Key user knowledge of relevant software systems (e.g., Jeevan, Bio+, Easy Plant, Const. Sim, Primavera (P6), SPMAT, ACAD/Revit, SHMP, Solid Works
· Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.
· Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
· The candidate should be independent, self-motivated, result driven and have a good sense of team working skills.
- Good attitude and possess the willingness to learn on the job.
- Adaptable to fast paced work environment, able to work under pressure, able to finish assigned work on time.
- Excellent written and good communicative skills, able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork.
· Fluency in Mandarin and conversational level of English are required to communicate with their diverse team and stakeholders effectively
· Candidate who can join within 1st Oct 2024, will be given the 1st priority.

· Contract job| Contract’s duration: Oct 2024 – Mar 2025
